Water Coolers in Delhi – Voltas & Blue Star Stainless Steel Storage Water Coolers

Quality of India, Daryaganj, Delhi sells Voltas and Blue Star storage water coolers for offices, schools, colleges, factories, hospitals, shops and public places. A storage water cooler keeps a tank of chilled drinking water ready, so many people can take cold water one after another without waiting. Every water cooler comes with a GST bill and delivery across Delhi NCR.

How to Read a Water Cooler Model Number (40/80, 60/120, 150/150)

Most storage water coolers are named with two numbers. The first number is the cooling capacity in litres per hour and the second is the storage capacity of the tank in litres.
  • 40/80 – cools 40 litres of water every hour and stores 80 litres
  • 60/120 – cools 60 litres per hour and stores 120 litres
  • 150/150 – cools 150 litres per hour and stores 150 litres
Storage tells you how much cold water is ready at one time. Cooling capacity tells you how fast the cooler refills that cold water after people have used it. For a busy place, look at both numbers, not only the tank size.

Fully Stainless Steel vs Partly Stainless Steel Water Coolers

In a fully stainless steel (FSS / SS) water cooler the outer body and the water tank are stainless steel. It handles damp floors and outdoor-facing areas better and is easier to wipe clean. In a partly stainless steel (PSS / PS) water cooler the tank is stainless steel but the outer body is pre-coated metal, which costs less. In both types the water touches only the stainless steel tank – Voltas and Blue Star use SS 304 food-grade tanks.

Voltas Water Coolers

Voltas water coolers (a Tata product) are made in India in fully stainless steel, with storage from 15 litres to 150 litres and more. Popular models are the Voltas WC FS 40/80 (80 litre, 2 taps), WC FS 60/120 (120 litre, 2 taps) and WC FS 150/150 for heavy use. Voltas models run on R134a gas, and the 150/150 uses R22.

Blue Star Water Coolers

Blue Star storage water coolers have a stainless steel body and a food-grade stainless steel tank, with a heavy-duty compressor and copper evaporator coil. The SWC SS range on our website covers 60 litre (SWC3060SS), 80 litre (SWC4080SS, SWC6080SS), 120 litre (SWC60120SS) and 150 litre (SWC150150SST) water coolers.

Placement and Care

  • Leave open space behind and on the sides of the cooler for air flow around the condenser.
  • Place the cooler away from direct sunlight, ovens and other heat sources.
  • Use a separate earthed power socket of the right rating – 6 A for smaller models, 16 A for large models.
  • Connect the drain to a floor drain or keep a bucket below the drip tray.
  • Drain and clean the tank at regular intervals, and clean dust from the back grill.
  • For tap or bore water, fit a purifier or RO before the water cooler.

Water Cooler FAQs

What is the price of a water cooler in Delhi?

Water cooler price depends on the brand, storage capacity, cooling capacity, number of taps and body type (fully or partly stainless steel). A 40 litre water cooler costs less than an 80 or 120 litre model. Send the model name to us on WhatsApp at 98112 84184 for today's price with GST bill.

What does 40/80 mean in a water cooler?

40/80 means the water cooler cools 40 litres of water per hour and has an 80 litre storage tank. The same rule applies to 60/120 (60 litres per hour, 120 litre tank) and 150/150 (150 litres per hour, 150 litre tank).

Which water cooler is best for an office?

For a small office a 40 litre water cooler is enough. For a medium or large office, an 80 litre or 120 litre water cooler with 2 taps, such as the Voltas WC FS 40/80, Voltas WC FS 60/120, Blue Star SWC4080SS or Blue Star SWC60120SS, is a common choice.

Which water cooler is best for a school or factory?

Schools and factories have many people drinking water at the same time, so choose 120 to 150 litre storage with high cooling capacity, such as the Voltas WC FS 150/150 or Blue Star SWC150150SST.

Is a stainless steel water cooler safe for drinking water?

Yes. Voltas and Blue Star water coolers use SS 304 food-grade stainless steel tanks, which do not rust and are easy to clean. Clean the tank regularly to keep the water safe.

How much electricity does a water cooler use?

Power use depends on size and how long the compressor runs. As a guide, Blue Star models from SWC1515SS to SWC60120SS draw about 2.1 to 2.8 amps on 230 V supply. The compressor stops once the water reaches the set temperature, so a cooler kept in shade with good air flow uses less power.
